MY CAR WAS BASICALLY KIDNAPPED FOR RANSOM (aka wrongfully towed)!! I was Visiting a friend for 45 minutes come out and my car is GONE. It was complete dark when I arrived accidentally parked in a FIRE LANE THAT WAS NOT CLEARLY MARKED.. CURB WAS NOT PAINTED RED as a fire lane should be painted, JUST HAD A POSTED SIGN THAT I DIDNT SEE.. $545 to get the car out and since the tow yard was “closed” when they came out to tow my car it would cost me an extra almost $200 to have someone come out to the yard to open to give me my car. SIERRA TOWING WAS THE COMPANY AND THEY EVEN ASKED ME IF MY TAGS ARE UP TO DATE BEFORE I GET MY CAR OUT. I’m still in shock y’all..

I moved into Harlan Ranch in 2017. Yes, I was aware of the HOA, but the fees seemed reasonable ($97/mo), and the facilities were easy to access and clean.

Well, in 2023, the HOA changed ownership, and to put it mildly, the new one is filled with busybodies with nothing better to do than make your life more difficult as a homeowner. The fees have gone up 34% in one year (I suspect this is just the start), and now they want us to install a key onto your cell phone to access the facilities despite already having a physical key fob for the gate.

I also had solar installed this year, and despite my neighbor watering their lawn literally every day in violation of local ordinances, I received a nasty gram THEY had yet to approve any changes to the exterior of MY house. I guess they have yet to hear of the California Solar Rights Act, which exists to stop predatory HOAs from restricting solar installations.

There also must be some quid pro quo with the HOA-managed landscaping, because every year, like clockwork, the same landscaping company is out ripping up the landscaping they installed the previous year and replacing it with the same plants. That's a good use of our funds there...I can't wait to move.

Lived here for almost 2 years now, and it's been such an amazing experience. If you're a new family looking for a place in the Fresno/Clovis area, don't look any further. It's truly a wonderful community, and a great place to raise your family. We have not had any issues with our neighbors whatsoever, and they are all very friendly. A great place to retire as well!

Community “staff members” are totally useless. Have no on site office and don’t answer their phones. Half the electrical outlets in this house are broken, heated and cooled water take about 15 min to work, literal sewage in our kitchen sink, a/c doesn’t work in half the rooms of our house. Poorly built homes in somehow an even more poorly ran community by people who don’t do anything. Best gig in the world to get paid to have a name and that’s about it. If you need help with anything at all, your best bet is prayer. People who actually live here are overall kind. Moving out of this sad hole ASAP.

I'm not from around clovis my husband is doing some chipping on Harlan Ranch so were up here for a couple of days and i don't even want to leave, it is so big and the house are magnificent really!!
Let me just explain something,
From where I am right now on the map it shows that we are only on part of harlan ranch which is the ranch side from what I can tell and see Harlan Ranch is the ranch and next to it which is still in the same land is the community which is beautiful I mean they have a beautiful park right there I mean it's so beautiful this is like the best part of Clovis I believe and the pictures that I'm going to post with this review shows the work area that my husband is working on and it's a field and it's beautiful next to the mountains it's quiet the Walmart here the people are so sweet I mean really the energy out here is amazing I think is my favorite place I've ever been probably seriously I can't even stop going on in this review I'm going to try to get some great pictures of the houses but I don't want to be too invading in the area as this is an upscale class area and respecting others is what I do so we'll see how it goes and I'm going to go get some pictures of the park this is a great area to live if you are thinking about moving over here to Clovis and you can afford up here I mean it's beautiful.

I moved in last month. Thus far, I love it! I love the pool. No HOA drama. Only 4 stars because I don't have much time here. I will update later.
